We're Nervous at Cheeseburger Night

Another fun night at cheeseburger night last night! One of these weeks I'm going to get a picture of our group for my picture-of-the-day. I’ll have to get on it, since I only have 9 more weeks left in my 365 project after this week.

Last night was particularly entertaining as we had Norm, his dad, and their farmer friend Randy at our table, all especially bleary-eyed after a long four days and nights in the field. My stomach stills hurts from laughing, and I wasn’t ready to leave at 9:00 to get home and watch Grey’s Anatomy.

“I don’t know man, something about a guy playing an accordian hopping around on a chair…make me nervous!”

“If I’m a chicken…I’m nervous man.”

Check back next week to see what kind of trouble Cass and I are able to get into this weekend!

Yesterday & Today Week 4

Week 4 in Ali Edwards' online scrapbooking class, Yesterday & Today, begins today, and it looks like it will be a hard one. This week's topic is scrapbooking the challenging stories and difficult times in your life. Once I get my layout(s) done I'll have to decide whether I'll share them here, but I did want to share the quote Ali chose for this week. I think it's beautiful and inspiring, like the class itself.

Yesterday & Today Week 3 Layouts

Thought I'd let everyone see my most recent double layout for Ali Edwards' Yesterday & Today scrapbooking class. I'm loving this and trying to come up with six more random childhood memories to make a second one of these layouts.

What I've Been Up to...

This poor blog has been neglected lately. I've blogged about Ali Edwards' Yesterday and Today class that I'm taking, and it is in full swing. I borrowed a big stack of old picture albums from my grandma on Friday, and spent the better part of the weekend scanning old photos so I have plenty for the class. I'm nowhere near done, but I thought I'd give you a little peek...

Old Pictures

I LOVE these old photos. The one on the left may be my favorite old picture of myself. There are so many gems in these albums, and I'm so grateful to my grandma for taking so many pictures. They're not perfect, and I may edit them a little, but most of them I'm going to leave as is, with dust and imperfections and all. It definitely adds to their character.

And here is the first layout I've made. I'm sure I'll be tweaking it a little more, but for now here it is...
